2022 Chrysanthemum

Made in memory of Sumiko Haneta. Sumiko, with her late husband Atae, founded the Chrysanthemum nursery in Aromas that is our winery’s home. Her daughter Junko and Junko’s husband Tadayoshi are master growers who provide inspiration that is vital to the creation of our wine. This wine is an homage to the Haneta’s attention to detail.

Tasting Notes:
Additional sur lie aging gives her a richness and texture on the palate that adds both depth and intensity to the mouthfeel, plus a bit of extra concentration.  Aromas of crushed ollalieberries, leather and redwood back into an expansive sip loaded with black cherry, with forest floor undertones.
