We are fortunate to have two fun tasting rooms that offer completely distinct experiences:
Pescadero
79 North St, Pescadero, CA 94060. 831-265-2713. Hours are 12:00 – 4:00 Saturday & Sunday. Reservations are encouraged. (The Pescadero Barn is closed the month of January)
Our tasting barn at Harley Farms sits on an idyllic multi-acre working goat farm in the Pescadero countryside. With ample indoor space in a rustic 140 year-old barn and a huge farm to roam, it’s a true country outing for the whole family. Fresh goat cheese is made onsite, by our host Dee Harley.
Reservations are encouraged so we can have a cheese sampler prepared for you. After your hourlong tasting, you are welcome to take a bottle and wander the expansive property, relax in our barn loft, check out the goats or enjoy a bottle of wine or three in the picnic areas.
During your tasting, you will enjoy Dee’s fresh, handmade goat cheese with a flight of 4-6 wines. Cost is $60/person. Free for wine club members and a guest, once per quarter. Walk-ins can be accommodated when capacity allows, but will not include the cheese sampler. The tasting fee for walk-ins is $30.
Aptos
154 Aptos Village Way Unit C-1, Aptos, CA 95003. 831.207.6048. Hours are 12:00-6:00 Wednesday through Sunday.
Our Aptos tasting room is in the new development at the Aptos Town Center, across from New Leaf Market. We share a building with Sockshop and Shoe Company… and yes… you can shop for shoes with a glass of Chardonnay.
The Aptos space is a fun, friendly, unpretentious tasting room near the beaches and the hiking/biking trails of Nisene Marks State Park. We have seating inside at the bar and tables, and café-style seating outside along the sidewalk in a vibrant new shopping/restaurant development. Taste with us then head across the way to David Kinch's new restaurant/bar Mentone or enjoy some scratch-made ice cream from Penny Creamery. And if you want to make a multi-stop wine experience happen, you can visit our friends at Ser winery or Cantine winepub... all within a short walk.
Be forewarned: our winemaker has been known to show up at random and enjoy wine with the guests.
