Ryan Beauregard's Coast Grade Vineyard is the jewel of Bonny Doon. Sitting at 1100' elevation just 4 miles from the open Pacific on Ben Lomond Mountain's unique marine sandstone bench, next to a limestone quarry, the terroir of this extremely cool-climate site is absolutely one-of-a-kind. You can taste a clean, firmly-delineated minerality running tensely through the wine, which is complemented by vivid red fruit and softened by carefully-selected oak.
I'm very much enjoying this wine already, but am extremely excited about the potential for aging here. If you're a collector, this is one that I recommend buying two or more of.
I got my start in winemaking with Ryan Beauregard, and can't be more excited about partnering with him again by working with this vineyard. Coast Grade is a new staple in our Pinot lineup, one that you can enjoy for hopefully many years to come.

The 2022 Pinot Noir Coast Grade Vineyard encapsulates Ben Lomond Mountain's clean, maritime nature, providing a beautiful alternative to the woody, redwood-driven scents of Pinot Noir from the Corralitos area. A charming, airy nose of pomegranate, strawberry leaf and orange rind leads to a succulent, suave palate chock-full of ripe berry flavors and ocean spray refreshment. With inviting streaks of oceanic, mineral flavors running through the finish, this is primed for near-term enjoyment but should further develop over the next decade.
